ADGM compliance
Year
2022–2025

Problem

The original KYC flow had 11 steps, making onboarding slow and confusing.

My role

Product Designer at M2, redesigning the ADGM-compliant KYC flow for individual and corporate users.

Key decision

Merge repeated steps and related inputs while keeping every required compliance check.

Outcome

11 → 6

KYC steps, fully ADGM compliant

Problem

An 11-step KYC flow that slowed everyone down

The original KYC flow had 11 steps, making onboarding slow and confusing. The goal was to reduce friction while keeping all ADGM compliance requirements intact.

Solution

Remove repetition, keep every check

I reviewed each step, removed repetition, and combined related inputs while ensuring all required checks remained. The flow was reorganized to be clearer and easier to follow.

Result

6 clear steps, fully compliant

The KYC flow was reduced from 11 steps to 6 clear steps while remaining fully compliant with ADGM regulations. The new experience feels faster and easier to complete, with fewer interruptions and repeated inputs, clearer guidance, and a more user-friendly structure that builds trust during onboarding. As a result, users can complete verification more smoothly, with less effort and confusion.
